YouTube brings a lens to shorts. This function, which will appear in the beta version In the coming weeks you will allow you to look for more information about animals, plants and objects that you will notice in the movie.
For example, if you are watching a compact landmark, YouTube claims that you can operate a lens to search for a specific landmark and learn more about where video was filmed.
You will be able to operate this function by gaining access to shorts from the YouTube mobile application. After stopping a compact, touch the lens button in the upper menu, and then lap, highlight or tap the element you want to search. YouTube will then display visual matches and search results in compact. The platform notes that after choosing one of these results you can “quickly jump back into the content you watched.”
YouTube says That although the lens does not operate “biometric face recognition” to identify specific people, it may show results for “significant public numbers”. It also does not display ads in the results during the pilot, and will not be available on shorts with associated links for shopping.
