YouTube says its technology will soon be able to find AI-powered copies of celebrities and creators

YouTube is there cooperation with the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to assist creators identify content on the platform using its AI-generated likeness and submit takedown requests. Early next year, the company will test the mechanisms with celebrities and athletes before making them available to “top YouTube creators, creative professionals and other leading talent partners.”

In September, YouTube announced plans for tools to assist manage creators’ AI-generated images and voices. Now the company says it could give celebrities (and soon creators) the ability to manage AI copies of their likeness, such as their face, “at scale.”

Last year, CAA introduced CAAVaultthat scans and stores digital likenesses of its customers, including their faces, bodies and voices.
