YouTube is there testing a new feature this will allow creators to exploit artificial intelligence to “restyle” licensed songs for their compact films. A petite group of creators with access can prompt them to change various elements of a song, such as its mood or genre, and the YouTube Dream Track AI extension will generate a reworked 30-second audio track.
YouTube:
If you’re a creator in the experimental group, you can select an eligible track > describe how you want to change it > then generate a unique 30-second audio track to exploit in your Low.
These restored audio tracks will be clearly linked to the original track via the Low itself and the Low audio home page, and will clearly indicate that the track has been restyled using AI
YouTube says the Dream Track experiment allows creators to create songs using the AI-generated voices of artists who have agreed to participate, including Charlie Puth, Charli XCX, Demi Lovato and John Legend. We still don’t know which songs can be changed in this test or which music labels YouTube is working with. However, the June report Financial Times. suggested that YouTube approached major music labels with an offer to exploit their songs to train artificial intelligence models.
Edge contacted YouTube to ask for more information, but did not immediately receive a response.
