May is coming to an end and so is Microsoft pushing the next Windows 11 Canary build on the other end of the line, which is available with Android’s novel connected phone feature: Suggested Answers. Now, when someone texts you and asks how you are, you can simply click one of several replies, such as “You’re doing well?” or “Okay, how about you?” so you don’t have to reach for your phone or computer keyboard when browsing the Internet.
This feature is part of the Phone Link feature, which allows you to connect your mobile phone to Windows to send and receive text messages, view your latest photos, and answer phone calls on your computer. Suggested replies rely on Microsoft’s cloud-based Knowledgeable Suggestion Model to find three replies appropriate to the context of the conversation. Windows testers who install Canary Preview Build 26227 and receive Phone Link version 1.24051.98 (or later) as part of their deployment will have this feature enabled by default.
This version of Canary also introduces a noticeable change to how you can access Copilot on your computer. Microsoft is phasing out the Windows Key + C keyboard in anticipation of upcoming Copilot Plus computers featuring the novel Copilot Key. For existing computers, the shortcut is now Windows Key + the number corresponding to the Copilot taskbar position.
