A Up-to-date York Times spokesperson told WIRED in a statement that Brooks “regularly attends events to speak with high-profile and important business leaders and provide information to his columnists” and that Brooks had no contact with Epstein before or after attending the 2011 dinner where the photo was taken.

A representative for the Gates Foundation did not immediately respond to a request for comment, as did representatives for Google, Allen, Chomsky and Bannon’s War room podcast.

The edition also includes close-ups female body parts with quotes from Vladimir Nabokov’s book Lolita a picture scribbled on them a pill bottle labeled as a medicine typically used to relieve symptoms of urinary tract infections, and redacted photos of travel documents from several countries, including Ukraine and Lithuania.

The House committee’s investigation into Epstein has been ongoing for several months and is separate from the document dump that the U.S. Department of Justice is expected to release this week. The Epstein Documents Transparency Actwhich was signed into law last month, requires the Justice Department to release “all unclassified records, documents, communications and investigative materials” in its possession by December 19.

As part of the commission’s investigation garden under the shop the Epstein estate and included instructions for the estate to submit two separate sets of documents – one for Democrats on the committee, one for Republicans. As the committee received documents from the estate, both Democrats and the committee as a whole issued their own statements. The materials contained in these communications raised novel questions about the well-documented relationship between Epstein and President Donald Trump; among other things, it shows how Epstein, in a conversation with a Gates adviser, claims to have in-depth knowledge of Trump’s views.

Documents related to the Epstein investigations have overshadowed the first year of the second Trump administration, with several members of the administration making their release a major talking point in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election. The political vigorous has changed over the past year as it became clear that Trump, once a friend of Epstein, was repeatedly appearing in the investigation files.

“As we approach the deadline for passage of the Epstein Records Transparency Act, these new photos raise more questions about what exactly the Department of Justice has,” Rep. Robert Garcia, a ranking Democrat on the committee, said in a press release. “We must end the White House cover-up, and the Justice Department must release the Epstein files now.”
