The up-to-date Ray-Ban Meta update adds reminders and voice messages

Meta is introducing reminders to its Ray-Ban clever glasses, a feature it showed off at its Connect event last month. With the update, you can ask Meta AI to remember your surroundings, such as where you parked, and even set reminders to make a phone call.

Other features introduced in the update include the ability to send and record voice messages on WhatsApp or Messenger without taking out your phone. You can now ask Meta AI to scan QR codes or place calls to phone numbers you come across.

Meta also updates the way Meta AI is invoked while wearing clever glasses. Instead of saying “Hey Meta” before every question, you now just say “Hey Meta” on the first question and then ask additional questions without prompts. You no longer have to tell Meta AI to “look and” when you ask about something you see.

Meta AI Assistant is currently only available in the US and Canada. You can access the up-to-date features by updating the Meta View app for iOS and Android to version 186, which launched on Wednesday. With this update, Meta revealed that the constrained edition translucent Ray-Bans have already sold out online (but some may still be available in stores).
