This recent version of WATT/Puppy is the first speaker redesign since 2011. They don’t come low-cost though, costing over $53,000 a pair (£41,998 if you speak British). You can customize individual parts of the speakers, such as grill colors and design elements, allowing you to create different, distinctive-looking sets. Elon’s payday

Elon Musk really likes money. Or at least that’s what one might assume, given that he’s currently fighting to secure a $56 billion salary to remain as CEO of electric vehicle maker Tesla.

On June 13, Tesla shareholders will vote in favor the gigantic salary of the richest man in the world. It was a tense argument, with Tesla’s board chairman urging shareholders to approve the money to prevent Musk leaving for greener ventures. And – surprise, surprise – Musk was Bullshit Tesla shareholders who say they will vote against the costly package.

In Elon’s other adventures, The Wall Street Journal reported that Musk diverted a shipment of Nvidia AI chips from Tesla and sent them to the facilities of his other pet project, the social networking site formerly known as Twitter. (Now stupidly known as X.)

AI Reviews Overview

As Google is wont to do these days, the company’s latest artificial intelligence ambitions have once again got people excited online. AI Reviews are Google’s recent written summaries that appear at the top of the results page for some Google searches. The goal is to provide a low, easy-to-read answer to a searcher’s question in an instant. In fact, these answers are sometimes completely wrong or misleading. What’s more, giving searchers an immediate answer without having to click any links creates an almost existential crisis for websites that depend on people coming to their site. Like, you know, any journalistic publication.

This week on Gadget laboratory podcast, WIRED writers Kate Knibbs and Reece Rogers join the show to talk about how AI reviews are changing the way we find information on the web, how Google is managing the rollout of this feature, and what happens when reviews start stealing what what you’ve written.
