“I corresponded very rarely with Epstein and declined repeated invitations to his island or to fly on the Lolita Express, but I was well aware that some of my email correspondence with him could be misinterpreted and used by critics to smear my name,” Musk said in a statement. post on Saturday at Musk did not immediately respond to WIRED’s request for comment.

Larry Page (314 files), Sergey Brin (294 files)

The Google co-founders appear in Epstein’s files about the same number of times, and both had previous ties to Epstein. Page and Brin were both issued summonses in 2023 in connection with the U.S. Virgin Islands’ civil lawsuit against J.P. Morgan Chase over Epstein’s sex trafficking crimes. IN court documents in connection with Virginia Giuffre’s defamation lawsuit against Ghislaine Maxwell, which was unsealed in 2024, Epstein victim Sarah Ransome claimed to have met Brin and his fiancée, Anne Wojcicki, before their wedding in 2007, “when they visited the island for a day”.

Recently released Justice Department records paint a much fuller picture of their relationship with Epstein, particularly in Brin’s case. An email exchange with Ghislaine Maxwell in April 2003 suggests that Brin dined at Epstein’s Recent York townhouse that month. (“Dinners at Jeffrey’s are always fun, casual and relaxed,” Maxwell he wroteIn it, Brin offered to invite “our CEO Eric,” referring to Google’s then-CEO Eric Schmidt, although he claims that “Schmidt’s schedule will likely be a little busier” and there is no indication that Schmidt would be present.

Page also appears to have dined with Epstein. “David Gergen Asks Who Was at Lunch or Dinner Years Ago When He Came to Your House and People from Google Were There (Larry Page and Sergey Brin)” Groff he wrote to Epstein in 2015. The files also include references to alleged business contacts between Page and Epstein. “Tony, Larry Page’s chief pilot, contacted Nicolas today and is interested in ‘re-using’ your Bell 407 in the St. Barts,” he says e-mail to Epstein from a redacted address sent on December 23, 2010, along with an itemization of potential related charges. The Bell 407 is a type of helicopter; emails demonstrate that an entity called “Air Ghislaine Inc” purchased such an aircraft on October 30, 2002. “Operation St. Barts” appears to be a visit; Epstein was notified in e-mail later that day that “Larry Page has changed his mind and will take the boat to St. Barts.”

On another occasion, Epstein emailed a redacted email address with a link to an article about Google testing “internet broadcast drones” in New Mexico. “You can tell Larry Page they can use my airstrip = most of this land is my ranch” – he he wrote. There is no indication that this happened. Alphabet did not immediately respond to WIRED’s request for comment. Anna Wojcicki did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Mark Zuckerberg (282 files), Jeff Bezos (196 files), Eric Schmidt (193 files)

While Epstein appeared to send emails primarily about, rather than with, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the records show at least one meeting between the two people. They were both on the invite list sent by e-mail by assistant Reid Hoffman during dinner on August 2, 2015 with neurologist Ed Boyden. Other invitees included Peter Thiel, Elon Musk and Joi Ito. Hoffman added a few days later e-mail to Zuckerberg and Epstein, titled “introduction.” “Jeffrey, Zuck,” the message reads, “please email your dinner with Ed Boyden so the conversation can continue.”

There is no indication that Zuckerberg ever responded. Additionally, Epstein appears to have spent significantly more time emailing about Zuckerberg – his marriage to Priscilla Chan, is he deserved The Nobel Peace Prize – than with him.
