SwitchBot’s AI sound recorder is a “second brain” for memories

Share

SwitchBot joins the ranks of AI voice recorders, introducing its own clip-on gadget that captures and organizes every conversation. Unveiled at CES, SwitchBot AI MindClip captures spoken information from your daily life and work meetings and transforms these conversations into summaries, to-dos and a personal audio memory database.

This announcement follows the launches of competing AI recorders such as Bee, Plauda’s NotePin, and Anker’s Soundcore Work. The MindClip weighs 18 grams, supports over 100 languages, and has a similar design to the lighter Soundcore Work – both have a push-button recorder and a square clip.

According to SwitchBot, MindClip is designed to act as a “second brain,” allowing users to search and retrieve previous discussions that might otherwise be forgotten. According to SwitchBot’s press release, the AI-powered summary, task creation and recall features will only be available to users who subscribe to an unspecified “cloud service.” The company did not specify how much this service or the device itself will cost or when it will be launched.
