Singhealth founded a recent joint center with the Duke – Nus medical school, which focuses on research, education and commercialization of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
Newly launched artificial intelligence at the Medicine Institute (AIMI) as part of the Singhealth Duke-Nus Academic Medical Center, among others, enabling healthcare employees to develop and operate AI-based solutions.
One of the areas of the Institute is Promoting artificial intelligence research from bench bench by providing access to resources, subsidies and local and global specialist knowledge in the field of artificial health care intelligence.
It also supports efforts related to AI management in order to regulate the operate of AI in the health ecosystem and emphasize the ethical treatment of healthcare data.
Aimi also supports commercialization and licensing of AI innovation and the separation of startups powered by AI and support local and global cooperation.
“In addition to technology, we try to cultivate future leaders who will direct AI’s progress through strategic cooperation and education,” Liu Nan, professor and co -director Aimi.
Greater trend
In February last month, Singhealth concluded a recent memorandum of Royal Philips for AI integration scope. They will cooperate with three main projects: embedding artificial intelligence in digital work flows, recent generation data analysis and clever ICU.
In addition to launching AIMI, Singhealth also announced a two-year partnership with the United States Coalition (Chai), guidelines promoting the Non-Profit organization and the best practices regarding responsible operate of AI in healthcare.
The first international cooperation for Chai, partnership with Singhealth will develop AI guidelines, white documents, publications and recommendations regarding politics with global best regulatory practices and insights “to strengthen the management of the use of AI in the healthcare system in Singapore.”
Partners will also cooperate to create educational materials and create workshops to raise AI skills and operate AI’s responsible operate among clinicians, programmers and consumers.
In addition, they are expected to host the global peak in Singapore, collecting key stakeholders to discuss management, ethics and implementation of AI.
