It looks like Samsung is finally ready to introduce paid subscriptions for its AI-powered smartphones, but it may not look like we expected.
“From next month, we will offer the subscription service on Galaxy smartphones,” he says. “Ballie will be launched in Korea and the US first, and we plan to provide it on a subscription basis in Korea.”
The AI Subscription Club is not required to access Galaxy AI features on Samsung phones and other devices, which the company has previously said will remain free for users until at least the end of 2025, with plans for beyond that not confirmed.
This model currently allows Korean consumers to purchase monthly subscriptions for TVs, refrigerators, washing machines and other AI-enabled appliances, including optional repair and maintenance services, to reduce upfront costs.
