OpenAI has fixed an issue that caused ChatGPT to crash for several hours on Tuesday. The company said it was monitoring results at 12:21 p.m. PDT.
The service was unavailable to several users around the world during the early hours of the day Pacific Time. Many users have written about this problem on the site X AND Threads.
According to OpenAI, ChatGPT has over 100 million weekly users.
On his service status siteOpenAI marked the incident as a major outage and said the company had identified the bug and was working to resolve it. According to the status tracker, the company began working on this issue on June 4 at 12:21 a.m. PDT.
There have been several partial outages for ChatGPT users over the last 30 days. The most notable incident was users being unable to access web search results due to a Bing API failure last month.
