NewYork-Presbyterian Launches $2 Billion Campaign Focused on Artificial Intelligence, Digital Innovation

In what it calls “one of the most ambitious initiatives in its 250-year history,” NewYork-Presbyterian has launched a up-to-date $2 billion capital campaign focused on advanced technology and digital transformation.

WHY IT’S IMPORTANT
Through its For Every Future initiative, NYP hopes to raise this amount by the end of 2028, aiming to capitalize on “a pivotal moment in medicine where artificial intelligence and up-to-date technologies are pushing the boundaries of what is possible, starting with detecting heart failure before it happens earlier detect cancer.”

Additionally, the big-ticket campaign will target “transformational” up-to-date clinical spaces at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center and “state-of-the-art” outpatient space at nearby White Plains.

According to NewYork-Presbyterian, the goal is to invest significantly in “the talent and technology that will enable the future of health care to move into the present,” clinical leaders say, with health equity and justice being the most crucial factors.

“NewYork-Presbyterian is a healthcare leader that combines clinical talent and technology to improve patients’ lives,” said Dr. Deepa Kumaraiah, senior vice president and chief medical officer at NewYork-Presbyterian. “With outstanding teams committed to health equity, we continue to improve outcomes, increase access and reduce health disparities.”

A BIGGER TREND
The health system – which includes 10 hospitals and approximately 200 primary and specialty care clinics throughout the metro region – is a leader in IT-enabled care, such as through community-focused telehealth and advanced virtual care services.
