Microsoft today adds a whole lot of AI agents to the teams, promising Copilot’s assistants for each channel, meeting and community. Recent agents will also operate in SharePoint and Viva Engage and introduce Microsoft 365 Copilot users.
Facilitator agents will now sit at team meetings, creating programs, taking notes and answering questions. Agents may also suggest allocation of time on various topics of meetings – informing participants whether they go through – and create documents and tasks. The mobile version is designed for activation “With one tap”, so that you can make sure that the agent did not miss “a quick chat in the corridor or spontaneous personal synchronization.”
Channel agents are designed to answer questions based on previous conversations and channel meetings, and can also generate reports about the status for the project in the same way. There are also community agents in Viva Engage, Microsoft in the social network in the entire company that operates similarly, but mainly serve to support community administrators, answering questions from other users. Knowledge agents operate in SharePoint behind the scenes, organizing and summarizing files.
Facilitator agents are now available, although their ability to create documents and tasks is publicly previewed, just like other newly announced agents. They attach to the view of the redesigned workflow tool for creating AI of tasks and a tool for generating audio summary based on meeting notes.
