When Microsoft first launched its plan Copilot Pro last year and wanted an additional USD 20 a month in addition to the Microsoft 365 family or personal subscription to get office functions powered by artificial intelligence, it seemed that this was a high question. After pacing AI function in Microsoft 365 subscriptions at the beginning of this year, Microsoft is now Taking the next step Copilot Pro and Microsoft 365 connections in the novel Microsoft 365 Premium subscription.
“This will really be our most powerful AI subscription and productivity for every person,” says Gareth Oystryk, senior marketing director at Copilot Pro and Microsoft 365, in an interview for The Verge. “It combines our trusted collection of performance application with built -in Copilot, as well as our highest limits of Copilot’s use and exclusive functions.”
Microsoft 365 Premium will be priced at $ 19.99 per month, the same price as the CHATGPT plus Openai subscription, and will contain the highest limits of Microsoft exploit in functions such as image generation and GPT-4O voice, as well as Copilot podcasts, deep research, vision and action. It also includes all Microsoft 365 family benefits, with access to office applications for a desktop computer for six people, 1 TB of memory per person and much more.
“We’ve created this subscription really for every Solopreneur, a professional or high achievement that wants to deal with the most demanding performance tasks with AI,” says Oystryk. “When you look at the value you get at this plan at this price point and arrange it in relation to the competition, you will find that the value is quite undeniable.”
This competition is clearly Chatgpt Plus. OpenAI Markets ChatgPT Plus as a subscription of performance, with extended access to GPT-5 and higher message limits, file transfer, data analysis and image generation. Microsoft 365 Premium has an additional advantage of access to office computer applications with Copilot functions built in them, as well as 1 TB of cloud storage per person.
As Sumit Chauhan, the corporate vice president of Microsoft Office Product Group said, told me at the beginning of this week: “Productivity is our DNA, we are office.
Microsoft also opens access to its researchers and reasoning analysts to Microsoft 365 Premium and will soon be available in Word, PowerPoint and Excel applications.
Perhaps the most intriguing part of the Microsoft 365 Premium launch is how IT, and the existing Microsoft subscriptions and personal subscriptions will allow consumers to enable the functions of Microsoft’s artificial intelligence in their office applications at work. “We saw many employees in every place, introducing our own artificial intelligence to work,” says Oystryk. “Thanks to Microsoft 365 Premium, together with a personal and family, you can take Copilot to work with you.”
Microsoft now inflammation Microsoft 365 Copilot, your workplace would usually have to pay a subscription if you have your own Microsoft 365 Premium, Family or Personal Account. All you have to do is log in to work in the office using a personal Microsoft account, and will include AI functions in work office applications.
Basically, it enables the Microsoft 365 Copilot license, while maintaining all ordinary data protection functions and enterprise to ensure that corporate data is not made available to your personal Microsoft account. “This function works with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook on Windows, Mac, iPad and others,” says Oistryk. “It doesn’t work on the internet … But in applications that most people exploit, you can log in and apply this function.” Administrators will also be able to enable or disable the login function.
Unfortunately, Microsoft still limits the possibility of unlocking the AI function in the office at work or at the home of the main account holder for the Family Microsoft 365 or Premium subscription. “We definitely have feedback from our clients to offer some kind of sharing, so we evaluate some options there,” says Oistryk.
Recreening personal and family subscribers will also receive image generation and access GPT-4O, with higher use limits than the free Copilot level. Copilot Chat, which was previously only available to Microsoft 365 commercial clients, also comes to all consumer subscriptions.
All these changes effectively mean the end of Copilot Pro, which remained in place, so that users prioritize access to the latest AI models and higher use limits to the Microsoft Package Package Package with Microsoft 365 subscriptions at the beginning of this year.
“Copilot Pro does not go away, but we will stop selling it,” admits Oystryk. “We do not automatically choose Copilot Pro subscribers to Microsoft 365 Premium. We don’t have time yet, if and when we stop.”
