Lenovo joins the AI concept glasses bandwagon

Share

Lenovo is the latest tech company to be bitten by the intelligent glasses bug. The company just showed off a pair of concept AI glasses at CES 2026.

While it wasn’t a working prototype, we do have some idea of where Lenovo’s head is at. The lightweight frames weigh approximately 45 g and have a 2 MP camera just above the nose bridge. You can also see binoculars in our photos. The nearby specs pointed to a green monochrome display on both lenses – something we saw quite a bit at last year’s show. It also reportedly has a 28-degree field of view, 1,500 nits brightness, two microphones, two speakers and a 214 mAh battery.

Lenovo claims that functionally the glasses will be equipped with touch and voice controls, the ability to make hands-free calls, play music and the ability to pair with a phone Or computer. Connecting to a computer is quite uncommon these days with intelligent glasses, especially those with this type of display technology. There weren’t many other details, but Lenovo says live translation, smart image recognition, and the ability to receive summarized notifications from several devices are also being considered.

It’s a somewhat surprising mix of features and specifications. After all, a 2MP camera isn’t good enough for taking photos, and the Meta glasses have a 12MP camera. It’s also unclear what Lenovo plans to connect between the desktop and the smartphone, as most AI glasses are currently designed as portable devices. But hey, maybe that’s why Lenovo wants this to be a “concept” device for now.
