Dell Technologies is a long-time Market and Innovation brand leader for enterprise servers and storage. The company has made a mighty move into AI with the introduction of the Dell AI Factory, which offers proven full-stack solutions. IT professionals responded by voting Dell Technologies the Market Leader in both product categories.
Pure Storage is a repeat leader in primary, file, and object storage innovation. IT professionals appreciate their patented DirectFlash modules, which enable their all-flash arrays to communicate directly with flash storage, as well as the company’s pioneering advances in low-cost QLC flash. AI is largely a high-performance, high-capacity environment where the critical need is to get massive amounts of data into and out of storage as quickly as possible. Our research indicates that IT professionals believe Pure Storage’s innovation is exactly what they need for AI.
Another enterprise brand leader is NetApp in file and object storage. The survey results indicate that the company that pioneered easy-to-use enterprise file storage is poised to lead in AI and enterprise object file storage.
Since 2008, when IT Brand Pulse was founded, Cisco has been named the market leader in Ethernet switches, and Mellanox has been named the market leader in higher-bandwidth, lower-latency InfiniBand switches. Clearly, IT professionals realize that AI needs high-bandwidth, low-latency, because they have chosen NVIDIA (formerly Mellanox) network switches as the market and innovation leader.
In our first study measuring brand leadership in the SmartNIC category, AMD (formerly Xilinx and Pensando SmartNIC) was recognized as the market leader. This demonstrates IT professionals’ awareness of Xilinx’s long-standing presence in the market and its leadership position in this space.
In our inaugural SmartNICs study, NVIDIA (formerly Mellanox SmartNICs) was named an Innovation Leader. The study results indicate that IT professionals value the tight integration and added value of SmartNICS tightly integrated with NVIDIA network switches and GPUs.
Although embedded in CPU, GPU, and specialized AI processor products, HBM is seen by IT professionals as an vital differentiator. The halo of Samsung’s household name illuminated their HBM product brand, as IT professionals chose Samsung as a market and innovation leader.
Any other result would be shocking. Jensen Huang and NVIDIA are leading a novel era of GPU-centric AI computing, which is almost impossible to avoid global news. The only surprise is that NVIDIA didn’t get all the votes for GPU market and innovation leader.
For the 17th year in a row, Intel was named the CPU market and innovation leader, and this was the first year that IT professionals voted for CPUs in AI. In second place, AMD was a notable contender, with just nine percentage points between the companies.

The Most Dominant Brands in Enterprise AI Infrastructure
NVIDIA took first place in three of the five brand leadership categories with the highest percentage of votes, while Intel continues to dominate with its processors. See page 32 in report to see the full list of brand leaders in rank order.
The most dominant AI Market Leader brand is NVIDIA for GPUs, with nearly 80% of IT votes, followed by Intel with a surprisingly high 12%. Intel and Samsung, brands that have long dominated the CPU and DRAM markets, are the second and third strongest Enterprise Infrastructure for AI Market Leader brands.
NVIDIA network switches, formerly known as Mellanox network switches, received the highest percentage of Innovation Leader votes. NVIDIA GPUs received the second highest percentage of Innovation Leader votes.
