HIMSSCast: How genAI can reinvent the work of physicians

Share

Many IT leaders in hospitals, health systems and technology companies say that generative AI – the kind most commonly associated with the wildly popular ChatGPT – is a game changer for healthcare organizations. It can do things unlike any previous technology.

It can be used for administrative and clinical purposes. Until now, most applications of genAI in healthcare have been on the administrative side, with CIOs, CMOs, CNOs, and other leaders being cautious when venturing into clinical waters.

But either way, genAI could save clinicians time – lots of it. Which could significantly change the way they work for the better, says Brian P. Kalis, Accenture’s health strategy manager.

This week, our HIMSSCast focuses on how genAI and other technologies can change the way physicians work. Our guest, Kalis, from the consulting giant Accenture, is an expert in his field.
