Among the chaos and shock in the social insurance administration (SSA) caused by the so -called government department Elon Musk (Doge), employees were asked to integrate the operate of generative Chatbot AI with their daily work.
But before any of them will be able to operate it, everyone must watch a four-minute training movie with an animated, four-pad woman brutally drawn in a style that would not look out of place on the websites created at the beginning of this century.
In addition to the web 1.0 graphics used, the video is also not possible to inform SSA employees about one of the most vital aspects of using chatbot: Do not operate any personal information (PII) when using the assistant.
“Our apologies for supervision in our training film,” wrote the SSA in the information sheet about Chatbot, which was made available to employees last week. The information sheet, which Wired analyzed, adds that employees using Chatbot should “refrain from sending PiI to chatbot.”
Work on Chatbot, called the Support Companion agency, began about a year ago, long before arriving at the Musk or Doge agency, one SSA employee with knowledge about the development of the application says Wired. The application is in confined testing from February before it has been introduced to all SSA employees last week.
In E -Mail announcing its availability for all employees this week and reviewed by Wired, the agency wrote that Chatbot “was designed to help employees in everyday tasks and increase efficiency.”
Many SSA employees, including the Front Office employees, will say that they completely ignored E -Mail about Chatbot, because they were too busy with actual work, compensating Reduced number of feet in SSA offices. Others said they tested chatbot briefly, but they were not impressed immediately.
“To be honest, no one really talked about it,” says one source. “I am not sure if most of my colleagues even watched a training movie. I had a bit of chatbot, and a few answers that I received from him were extremely unclear and/or inaccurate.”
Another source said that their colleagues mock the training movie.
“You could hear my colleagues make fun of the graphics. Nobody I know [using it]. He is so clumsy and angry, “says the source, adding that they also received faulty information through Chatbot.
