Hackers Furious With AI Expose Disney’s Internal Slack

More than a terabyte of data, allegedly obtained from internal Disney news channels, has been leaked online by a self-described “hacktivist group,” including login details, code, images, and information about unpublished projects.

An anonymous group calling itself Nullbulge has took responsibility for the leakclaiming they had accessed the company’s Slack messaging data via a hacked Disney employee’s computer. “We downloaded and zipped everything we could get our hands on,” the group said on X, claiming they had obtained “1.1 TiB of files and chat messages” from nearly 10,000 corporate Disney Slack channels. Disney later confirmed that Wall Street Journal that he is “investigating the matter.”

Nullbulge mentioned having stolen data on July 12, hours before the Disney Slack archive leak.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the files contain internal Disney conversations about software development, recruiting, website maintenance and employee programs dating back to “at least 2019.” According to EurogamerDetails about upcoming gaming industry collaborations and unannounced video game sequels, obtained through stolen files, have also begun to appear online.

Nullbulge claims its goal is to protect artists’ rights and remuneration, saying This WSJ took aim at Disney “for its handling of artist contracts, its approach to artificial intelligence, and its rather blatant disregard for the consumer.”
