Google wants its AI CC assistant to replace your morning scroll

Share

Google wants you to start your day with AI. Specifically, Google’s artificial intelligence, so the company is launching an experimental agent that will scour your emails, calendar and documents to deliver briefings to your inbox every morning.

A up-to-date feature called CC delivers “Your Day Upcoming” to your inbox every morning. Your personalized briefing – which Google describes as “one clear summary” – shows your schedule for the day ahead, along with the most crucial tasks and updates you need to know about, like bills you need to pay or meetings you need to prepare for. CC can also draft emails and calendar links if you want to act quickly and get a head start on your day.

CC is initially making its early access service available to paid subscribers over 18 years of age in the US and Canada. Google says it’s opening a CC waiting list for people to sign up for today Here. The company did not say how long the waiting list would last or when it would expand access.

The agent is built on Google’s Gemini AI model and learns about you by connecting to your Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Drive, as well as the Internet. You can personalize the tool by giving it more information about you, and give it things to remember by responding to its instructions or emailing them directly, Google says.
