I love keeping my digital pass in my phone’s wallet so much that I get a little annoyed when I have to employ another app or, God forbid, a saved PDF. At least there’s a better way on Android, thanks new Google Wallet option A project is currently being implemented that uses artificial intelligence to generate a digital version with all the relevant details, which can be used just like any other digital document.

A feature that Google announced at the I/O conference in May, replaces the previous “Photo” option in the “Add to Wallet” menu, potentially resulting in a simpler version of the pass that simply includes a barcode or QR code.

Dubbed “Everything Else,” using it can save you from searching through your email for a PDF while waiting in line at an event or trying to navigate your healthcare provider’s app to get an image of your insurance card. The Google Wallet passes you generate can work across a wide range of categories, including business cards, ID cards, library cards, loyalty cards, passports, and vehicle registrations. How 9to5Google notes. This only works in the US for now.

When you select “Everything else,” the app asks for permission to process your sensitive information using Google’s AI and organize it into categories, such as a personal pass, health pass, or driver’s license. You can then take a photo of the pass and, once it’s processed, adjust any details or categories that don’t seem right and approve the final product.
