Google introduces more generative artificial intelligence to its online purchases in searching. The upcoming function of AI mode will generate images of costumes and ideas for decorations based on user descriptions to aid people find similar products visually. Launching is also a recent tool that allows people to practically try clothes.
The recent purchasing function in AI mode will be launched this fall in the USA. It has been designed to ensure visual assistance, which can better lead, what products should be recommended in comparison with search descriptions. If users are looking for, for example, a “green blown dress for a garden party”, AI mode generates images of false dresses in various styles that allow users to find the closest fit to the dress they imagined. Then Google will show real users’ offers for visually similar dresses in online stores.
This seems to be a better way to apply artificial intelligence as a shopping inspiration tool than to browse the images of AI hosted on moodboard platforms, such as Pinterest, which do not match users to the real counterpart that they can actually buy. The initial images that will generate Google AI mode are still false, which may cause disappointment to users who cannot find an true adaptation to suggestions for AI clothing and decor in which they fell in love.
In the case of something that is available today, Google introduces a virtual tool to try in the USA, which allows buyers to see what clothes look like by sending a photo. After prior introduction as a narrow experiment in search engines, the function is now started in search engines, Google purchases and products results in Google images.
Users can access the functions by touching any results of the clothing product in searching, shopping or images, choosing the “Try” icon and sending a photo of full body length. Then Google’s artificial intelligence will show the user how they could look like wearing clothing they chose, giving users a more personalized experience than watching these clothes modeled on someone else.
