Get ready to meet your best AI friend

ON this episode Vergecastwe try to make sense of this future. Everyone seems to believe in the potential of “agent” AI that can apply apps and devices on your behalf, but much of the current technology in this regard seems woefully unfinished. But as things get warmer and fuzzier, perhaps the whole Getting Things Done AI aspect won’t matter as much. We’re trying to figure out where we’re going next and how long it will take to get there.

You know who else needs to figure out where we’re going next? OpenAI, which just raised $6.6 billion and now needs to prove it can spend it wisely. We talk about that for a while too.
