Apple looks at adding embarrassment and other AI search engines to Safari

Apple “actively looks at” by introducing artificial intelligence search options to Safari. Eddy Cue, a senior vice president of Apple services, made a statement during the Google antitrust process on Wednesday, claiming that the company will probably add AI search functions to Safari in the coming year, when they are still improving.

“Until now they are not good enough,” Cue said, adding that Apple has already talked with embarrassment, Opeli and Anthropic. CUE is careful that these are early days for generative artificial intelligence and says that thanks to the existing Apple agreement with Openii regarding other services and it was crucial to “make sure we have the opportunity to change if we have to”, in case another supplier jumps forward.

CUE added that Search in Safari for the first time fell last month, which “has never happened for 22 years”. As part of the Google agreement with Apple, the search giant pays Apple a bit of advertising from searching to Safari. Less Search means lower Apple revenues, something that he said that “he lost a lot of sleep when thinking”.
