Apple just released public beta versions of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, which include upcoming Apple Intelligence features like text rewriting tools, a shiny novel Siri design, a “Cleanup” tool for removing objects from photos, and more.
To access the beta version, you must register at Apple Software Beta Program Site. After doing this, you should be able to see the available beta update in Settings, which you can download and install. Keep in mind that only a few iPhones can access Apple Intelligence: last year’s iPhone 15 Pro, as well as the nearly-available iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro. iPads and Macs with M1 chips or newer can also try Apple Intelligence.
Previously, these Apple Intelligence features were only available as part of developer betas, and my colleague Allison Johnson wrote about her experience testing the tools on iOS back in July . But you should know that what’s included in these betas isn’t everything Apple has announced for Apple Intelligence; there’s more coming in the future.
Apple plans to release the final versions of iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 in October.
