Venturebeat announced the winners of the seventh annual Women in Ai award VB Transform in San Francisco on June 25.

Awards recognize and honor women and changers in the field of AI. The nominees were submitted by society and selected by the Venturebeat committee based on their commitment to the industry, their work on increasing the inclusion in the field and a positive impact on the community.

The winners received the AI ​​Venturebeat Emilia David and I (editor -in -chief).

This award honors a woman who has launched companies now showing a great promise in artificial intelligence. Judges considered factors such as business grip, technology and influence in AI space.

This year’s winner is Natalya Lopareva, CEO and founder in Algorio. Its technology, originally developed on the basis of research in University of ZurichIt helps to locate people after earthquakes and can now assist save lives in various applications.

This year’s winner is Lindsay Richman, CEO in Vibrissa AI (previously internal AI). Richman and her team focus on data and biometric data and their applications. They develop research on longevity, cell orchestration, mitochondrial health and biofotonics.

“Vibrissa is a narrow mustache, hair that actually detects vibration,” said Richman in her acceptance speech. “My company has done a lot of work in sensor research and finding ways to use vibrations to record events to hope that it makes many recordings based on sensors without a large amount of equipment that currently slows down the processes.”

She said she was excited, that she returned to the transformation and “supported so many wonderful people, including wonderful women at this conference.”

This award honors a woman who helped mental other women in the field of artificial intelligence, providing tips and support and/or encouraging more women to enter the area.

This year’s winner is Suuuchi Shah, engineering manager in the team serving the model at LinkedIn. He directs the development of the latest infrastructure to support the vast language model (LLM), helping revolutionize the way the AI ​​models are being implemented in LinkedIn’s ecosystem.

Shah was not able to accept the awards in person, but she said in a statement after: “I am deeply honored with this recognition – it belongs to the same brilliant women who I was to privilege the mentor as for me. Together we prove that the supporting community is the fastest path to the breakthrough of AI.”

This award honors a woman who shows exemplary leadership and progress in the developing field of responsible artificial intelligence.

This year’s winner is Stephanie Cohen, strategy director at Cloudflare. He conducts efforts to redefine the economic internet model and create a sustainable future for content creators, publishers, AI companies and the entire Internet.

Cohen could not personally accept her award, but sent the video acceptance, saying that she was honored with recognition. “Here in Cloudflare we have a mission to help build better internet, and better internet is one in which we use AI responsibly, and this is a world in which the creators of the content of various shapes and sizes bloom in this amazing world that is ahead of us with AI.”

She added after the event: “I joined to Cloudflare a little over a year ago to assist build a better internet. Our global network now has a GPU in over 190 cities, thanks to which artificial intelligence is quick and available to everyone around the world, and we build tools to support the future in which AI innovations are developing, while respecting the ownership of content.

This award honors a woman at an early stage of AI’s career, who showed exemplary leadership features.

This year’s winner is Arina Vlasov, CEO in Datagpt. The company offers a conversational AI data analyst, which enables users to interact with their data using natural language and receive immediate observations at the level of analysts.

“This reward means a lot to me,” said Vlasova during her speech. “Datagpt was started as a brave idea to build the world’s first data analyst. Many people questioned us. Some thought it could be too ambitious, even outside my team’s potential. But we pressed more and today, and today we lead. What really matters in life is always challenging, and it is critical to make vision, grit and maintaining. All women go there.
