The Generate Speech feature is the first time Adobe has added text-to-speech functionality to Firefly, using its own Firefly models as well as models from Eleven laboratories. Adobe says it will support 15 languages at launch with Generate Speech and will be able to add emotion tags. These tags are not universal, so you can add different tags to different parts of the line to change the inflection. The Generate Soundtrack and Generate Speech features will be available to Firefly soon.
The novel Firefly video editor is also available. For the first time, you can access a full multi-track video editor in your browser with Firefly built-in. Adobe says it’s built to connect multiple sources, combining generated and captured video, audio and image content. There there will be a waiting list for the Firefly video editor, but Adobe has not announced when it will be generally available.
