The preview is initially only available on Copilot Plus computers with Qualcomm processors, with support for Copilot Plus computers with Intel and AMD processors coming soon.

You can control what snapshots are saved and easily delete them. Microsoft also allows you to exclude apps and websites from the Recall feature, and the feature should also automatically detect sensitive information such as credit card information, passwords, and ID numbers and not save these snapshots.

Microsoft will not have access to any Recall snapshots and they will not be sent to the cloud or used to train Microsoft AI models. “We do not send snapshots of your computer to Microsoft or third parties, and we do not use them for training purposes,” says Microsoft’s Windows Insider team. “Microsoft does not have access to the keys to view encrypted data, so we cannot restore snapshots if you remove Windows Hello, or restore snapshots if you need to reset your computer or move to a new one.”

Recall requires the operate of Windows Hello to confirm presence and access the feature, and requires BitLocker and Secure Boot – both of which should already be enabled on your Copilot Plus computer.

Click-to-Execute will eventually work beyond Recall, too, by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard and left-clicking to bring up an interactive overlay on the screen.
