Google Gemini can now “remember” things about you, such as your interests and personal preferences. The change is rolling out to subscribers with access to Gemini Advanced and will allow the AI chatbot to tailor its responses to your needs, according to Gemini latest release information.
As Google noted, when you chat with Gemini, you can share your interests, as well as details about your job, hobbies, and aspirations. You can also enter relevant information about yourself in the bot “Saved Information” page.for example, telling it to only suggest vegetarian recipes or letting it know that you work as an accountant.
You can also view, edit, or delete data collected by Gemini on the “Saved Information” page. Gemini will note when it includes your information in its responses. You can access Gemini Advanced through a Google One AI Premium subscription and for now it is only available in English.
OpenAI first made the storage feature available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers in April. As with Gemini, ChatGPT can track things you’ve mentioned in previous conversations, such as your favorite food or the type of pets you have.
