Google is there adding the Google Home extension for the Gemini application, thanks to which you can control your sharp home while talking to the AI assistant. The update is available to Android users within Google Home Public Preview Programwill enable you to operate natural language suggestions, such as “Set up the dining room for a romantic date” to adjust the lighting, or “Help me clean the kitchen” to turn on the vacuum cleaner.
Previously, the Gemini app would open Google Assistant if you tried to control your sharp home. With the fresh Google Home extension, you can do things like sharp lighting, climate control, window coverings, TVs, speakers and more from the Gemini app.
However, the extension in Gemini does not support all sharp devices. As Google noteswill connect you to the Google Home app where you can control your security devices including cameras, locks, gates and doors. He also cannot perform procedures.
Then, to operate this feature, log in to the Gemini app using the same account you operate for Google Home. From there, you can ask Gemini to perform a specific action, such as “turn on the living room lights.” Google says you may have to include “@Google Home” in the prompt if Gemini doesn’t operate the extension automatically.
