Google is reportedly developing a “computer-based agent” artificial intelligence system.

Google may see a preview of its own take on the Rabbit immense share model concept as early as December, reports Information. “Project Jarvis,” as it is reportedly codenamed, would perform tasks for users including “collecting research, purchasing a product or booking a flight,” according to three people the outlet spoke to who have direct knowledge of the project.

Running on a future version of Google Gemini, Jarvis reportedly only works with a web browser (it’s tuned specifically for Chrome). The tool aims to lend a hand people “automate everyday internet tasks” by taking and interpreting screenshots, then clicking buttons or entering text, Information I’m writing. As it stands, it apparently takes “a few seconds” between actions.

Information warns that Google’s plan to show Jarvis in December may change. According to reports, the company is considering releasing it to a tiny number of testers to find and lend a hand the company work out bugs.
