Since me I watched a Disney Channel original movie Shrewd home As a child, I was fascinated by futuristic visions of technology in our everyday lives. As I’ve been writing about and advocating for AI tools at WIRED for the past two years, it’s become clear to me that the software is nothing like what’s depicted in sci-fi movies or in hype-filled AI marketing materials. for you to believe.
Even with this in mind, I still find the current crop of generative AI tools to be sometimes useful, sometimes fun, and almost always a bit frustrating.
And this belief was my motivation to write the second season of our series Artificial intelligence unlocked bulletin. Working on this project has been my passion for the last few months – talking to experts in the field, trying out different tools, and getting reader responses to last year’s newsletter. The fresh season aims to aid you experiment even more with AI tools while remaining realistic about their capabilities.
Honestly, I need to stop for a moment and directly thank everyone who has reached out to us about using AI. Between my inbox and reader responses to our survey, we received responses from over 1,000 people and spent hours analyzing every question, tip, and opinion. This data served as the cornerstone for the second season, and your comments helped me better understand your diverse perspectives as WIRED readers. Overwhelmingly, readers seem interested in knowing how AI can aid them with personal tasks, how they can become more confident in typing quickly, and what fresh tools are worth experimenting with.
Since this is the second season, we decided to double the action Artificial intelligence unlocked and we’ve expanded the newsletter to be available in 10 daily installments, not just five. Each edition focuses on a different topic related to the utilize of AI tools. We’ll cover everything from how to be more productive when using AI to the dangers of relying on AI for medical advice right now.
Some newsletters will include a “Pro Tip” which will include an example to aid you practice your skills. Others will explain broader context that will aid you get the most out of your interactions with AI tools. Plus, you submitted so many fascinating questions that I decided to add a “Mail Bag” section at the bottom of the newsletter to share my observations and perspectives on crucial topics.
