Siloam collaborates on artificial intelligence
Under the up-to-date partnership, Siloam hospitals in Indonesia will implement a range of Philips AI solutions.
The companies recently signed a memorandum of understanding to, among other things, implement artificial intelligence technology at Siloam, particularly in radiology, pathology, interventional cardiology and clinical operations.
Thanks to this cooperation, the hospital network also wants to operate artificial intelligence in telemedicine, EMR and remote patient monitoring.
The MoU also includes the participation of the Medical Sciences Group of Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) in the development of training programs aimed at equipping healthcare professionals, IT professionals and medical students with the skills required to develop and implement artificial intelligence in clinical settings.
Additionally, Philips will share its expertise and global practices in IT and AI research with Siloam and UPH to create scalable and tailored healthcare technology solutions.
Up-to-date medical artificial intelligence center established in Singapore
National Healthcare Group and Nanyang Technological University have established a up-to-date research center dedicated to artificial intelligence in healthcare.
The Center for AI in Medicine (C-AIM), led by NTU’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, aims to address issues related to the full adoption and integration of AI solutions in healthcare, including the lack of data verifying their effectiveness, legal and ethical considerations , and demanding evidence that AI reduces operational and labor costs.
According to a press release, the up-to-date AI center will focus on four areas: mental health, frailty of the elderly, medical imaging and cancer screening, which is in line with Singapore’s second national AI strategy.
With over 100 researchers and clinicians on board, C-AIM will conduct AI simulation and implementation studies with support from partners including Yale School of Medicine and Olympus Singapore.
Singapore-UK Health Data Science Partnership
The National Research Foundation, under the Office of the Prime Minister of Singapore, will work with organizations in the UK on healthcare and data science.
The agency has signed a memorandum of understanding with Health Data Research UK, an independent alliance of health care and research organizations. They will explore opportunities to operate health data to address pressing healthcare issues and improve patient outcomes in Singapore, the UK and other regions.
Their partnership will also include the University of Nottingham and Swansea University Medical School in the UK, as well as the Singapore Agency for Science, Technology and Research and the Trusted Research and Real-World Technology Office at the Ministry of Health. Transformation of health care.
Apollo HealthAxis will launch Garmin fitness trackers
Apollo Hospitals’ healthcare IT subsidiary, Apollo HealthAxis, has entered into an initial agreement with Garmin for an integrated offering.
In a statement, Garmin said that as part of this deal, fitness trackers will soon be available on select Apollo health plans. Meanwhile, select Garmin fitness trackers will have access to Apollo’s AI-powered personalized health program.
Additionally, both companies have agreed on a joint program to provide health services to rural communities in India.
