Meta’s annual Connect conference is kicking off in Menlo Park, California, where the company is expected to unveil its first augmented reality (AR) glasses, codenamed Orion, as well as a slew of AI news.
Meta has made a huge push over the past year to integrate AI capabilities into its platforms, whether it’s through ChatGPT rival Meta AI, custom chatbot creators on Instagram and WhatsApp, or AI-generated images with the company’s Llama model.
There are also Ray-Ban’s Meta clever glasses, which we expect to hear fresh information about. And then there’s the Meta Quest line of headsets, which usually get huge updates at Connect. The event is a chance for CEO Mark Zuckerberg to show off his vision for social media, the metaverse, AI, and everything in between.
