Corrections NZ announces $5m EHR contract

Fresh Zealand Department of Corrections adopts Canadian patient management system to improve health care for people in custody.

The company recently signed a NZ$9 million ($5.3 million) deal with EHR solutions provider Intrahealth for a seven-year PMS system.

In a statement, Intrahealth said its solution “will increase operational efficiency by automating tasks, reducing paperwork and simplifying processes, freeing up healthcare teams to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.” The PMS will also ensure patient data privacy through advanced security protocols and regular audits.


Gold Coast Health tests AI script

Outpatient departments at Gold Coast Health in Queensland are testing AI scribe tool helps reduce the time spent on clinical documentation.

Lyrebird Health’s ambient listening solution combines voice-to-text technology with AI to automate note-taking and clinical documentation.

More than 70 specialists are taking part in the first stage of testing. Their goal is to check the usability of the technology for future implementation throughout the organization.


Fresh South Wales GPs gain access to BI platform

Hunter Fresh England and Central Coast Primary Health Network in Fresh South Wales helps healthcare facilities improve their financial health by providing them with access to a business intelligence platform.

GPs participating in the PHN Sustainability and Viability Initiative can now access Cubiko’s Sustainability Support Platform for 12 months free of charge. The data analytics platform supports practices in optimising their operational efficiency and financial performance.


Recent implementations of Personify Care digital pathways in Western Australia and Fresh Zealand

Endoscopy and Gastroscopy Laboratory Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Group (FSFHG) in Western Australia are now equipped with digital patient access pathways provided by Personify Care.

Personify Care digital pathways were initially implemented to expand The LifeFit SurgFit programme is part of the South Metropolitan Health Service, a network of which FSFHG is part.

Patients undergoing colonoscopy and gastroscopy are now automatically enrolled in the program through simultaneous integration with the WebPAS patient administration system. Patient-reported information is also automatically transferred to the BOSSnet digital health record.

According to a press release, bidirectional integration of digital health records and PAS helps reduce time spent on patient screening, detect clinical risks early, and reduce cancellations and wait times.


Personify Care digital patient paths have also been implemented in surgical facilities MercyAscot Private Hospitals in Fresh Zealand.

According to Personify Care, the implementation will streamline the patient admission process, increasing patient flow and reducing the uncertainty surrounding hospital admission.
