Street View: Set your worlds in real places
When you create imaginative worlds in Project Genie, you can now also base them on real places. Simply tap the Map pin to select a location in the US and optionally choose a style for your world, such as “Desert Sands” or “Stone Age.” Then describe your character – perhaps your favorite animal, comic book hero, or even a clay monster – and Genie will utilize this information to create an imaginative world with a starting location tied to real-world Street View photos. This feature is supported by Maps Grounding Imagesthe same technology developers utilize to create stunning AI visuals in Street View.
Want to see the Golden Gate Bridge underwater? Choose the “Ocean World” style to dive with schools of fish around the bridge. Or, if you want to discover what is iconic Homesteads in Fort Worth, Texas might have looked like it did in the 1920s, choose the “black and white movie” style to see a world full of showrooms, vintage cars and shopping outlets.
Street View photos in Project Genie are now available for locations in the U.S., and we plan to expand this service to more locations over time.
