Google’s Gemini artificial intelligence will leverage knowledge about you from Gmail, Search and YouTube

For example, two weeks ago we needed novel tires for our 2019 Honda minivan. While standing in line at the store, I realized I didn’t know the tire size. I asked Gemini. Nowadays, any chatbot can find these tire specifications, but Gemini has gone further. It suggested different options: one for everyday driving and one for all-weather driving, referencing our family trips to Oklahoma found on Google Photos. He then carefully pulled out the ratings and prices for each of them. When I got to the counter, I needed our license plate. Instead of scrambling or losing my place in line to get back to the parking lot, I asked Gemini. It pulled out a seven-digit number from a photo in Photos and also helped me identify a specific version of the van by searching Gmail. It was just the way we were set up.
