Amazon has launched a up-to-date artificial intelligence feature in the Kindle app that provides spoiler-free answers to questions about the book you’re reading, and confirmed that authors can’t opt out of the feature.
The company calls Ask this Book “the expert in reading.” his announcement and claims to be able to answer questions about “plot details, character relationships, and thematic elements” while avoiding spoilers by limiting answers to content from the pages you’ve read so far. It’s essentially a chatbot in a book, accessible from the book’s menu or by selecting the section of text you want to ask about.
– said Amazon spokesman Ale Iraheta Publishers’ dinner that the answers “cannot be shared or copied” and are only available to readers who have purchased or borrowed the books. Iraheta also said the feature is always on, noting that “authors or publishers have no ability to opt out of titles.”
