Adobe is strengthening its artificial intelligence strategy to attract more users to its product ecosystem. On Wednesday, the company said it was adding Photoshop, Express and Acrobat features to ChatGPT, allowing users to ask the chatbot to operate those apps to edit images, modify PDF files or animate elements.
Therefore, users can now tell ChatGPT to operate Photoshop to edit specific parts of images; remove or blur background; adjust exposure, brightness and contrast; or apply various effects. The chatbot will also allow you to modify the intensity of effects using sliders.
With support for Express, ChatGPT now allows users to issue commands such as downloading existing projects from the library, combining themed creations, animating elements, and editing projects.
With Acrobat’s PDF editing features, ChatGPT can do things like merge files, edit or extract text or tables in a file, and more.
If at any point you don’t feel like bothering with ChatGPT, you can continue working in Adobe applications and complete the work yourself or take advantage of features not available in ChatGPT.

Adobe says these features will be available globally. While features from all three Adobe apps are available in the ChatGPT desktop, web, and iOS apps, only Adobe Express is currently supported in ChatGPT for Android. The company says support for Photoshop and Express will be coming soon.
Adobe has introduced many AI-powered features and products this year. In October, the company released AI assistants for Express and Photoshop, and also teased a cross-app assistant called Project Moonlight.

OpenAI began supporting third-party apps on ChatGPT in October, launching Canva, Spotify, Expedia, and Figma. However, as more companies work to build applications around the popular chatbot, the challenge for companies will be to get people to operate their applications instead of competitors’ ChatGPT applications. For example, you can operate both Canva and Photoshop to edit images with a chatbot, but if you don’t operate either app, you may not have a preference.
