Finish line on Thursday announced launches a fresh, centralized support center for Facebook and Instagram, confirming that getting support hasn’t always been as straightforward as it should be. Here you’ll find all the support features users of both networks need to report account problems or recover an account they’ve lost access to.
“Getting help with your account should be simple and accessible,” the company explained, adding that it was aware that “support did not always meet expectations.” The update is rolling out globally to users of both social media platforms on iOS and Android.
Meta said it is also working on an AI assistant “enabling instant, personalized assistance” on issues such as account recovery or updating settings. Initially, it will only be available to Facebook users, but Meta said it is “considering rolling it out to our other apps in the future.”
Since the hub can be accessed via the Facebook or Instagram apps, it’s unclear how useful this solution will be once you have access to it. However, Meta says it is streamlining the account recovery process by using artificial intelligence to make it easier to find appropriate recovery options and to support the company better detect devices and locations where you have used the app in the past.
