One of the latest Google Gemini updates gives you the ability to configure scheduled activities. It’s exactly what it sounds like: tasks you can run in Google Gemini automatically and on a schedule. Maybe you want to receive weather forecasts and news every morning at 7:00, or maybe you want to be suggested for your evening meal every evening at 7:00. Everything you can already do in Gemini, you can schedule.
Gemini is accelerating in this regard thanks to the ChatGPT application, which introduced scheduled tasks a few months ago. The idea is more or less the same: a bot can execute your commands at a specific point in the future and repeat them if necessary. Here’s how this feature works on both platforms.

At the time of writing, this requires a subscription to Google’s AI service, which starts at $20 per month for Google AI Pro. The chatbot can track up to 10 scheduled activities at a time, so you need to be very selective about how you apply it. You can take advantage of planned actions at Gemini on the Internetand in mobile applications for Android AND iOS.
To create a scheduled action in Gemini, simply describe it and provide scheduling details in the prompt. For example, you could ask Gemini to “generate an image of a cat playing with a ball of yarn every Monday at 12:00” or “to ask me a general knowledge question every evening at 7:00 p.m.”
Scheduled activities can be set as one-time events – for example, next Friday at 3 p.m., so something happens on a specific day at a specific time. Alternatively, your activities can run on a recurring basis daily, weekly or monthly. They cannot be set in a more complicated rhythm (e.g. every second Tuesday of the month) or randomly surprised.
Gemini should recognize that you’ve asked him to schedule something, and will provide a summary: what you asked him to do, when, and how often. Assuming all this information is correct, you don’t need to do anything else. The action works regardless of whether you have Gemini open at the moment, and you will be notified about the launched action via a notification on your devices (if you have them turned on) and an e-mail.
