Simply anthropic announced plans to donate $50 billion towards strengthening the computer infrastructure in the US. As part of this initiative, the company is working with AI cloud platform Fluidstack to build data centers in Texas and Novel York, “with more locations to come.”
According to Anthropic, the data centers will come online in 2026 and create 800 jobs. “This will help advance the goals of the Trump Administration’s AI Action Plan to maintain U.S. AI leadership and strengthen the nation’s technology infrastructure,” Anthropic states in a press release.
Anthropic says the size of the investment “is necessary to meet growing demand” for its Claude AI chatbot while allowing it to keep its research “at the cutting edge” of technology.
