Amazon is launching a new tool based on artificial intelligence this should assist you choose which product to buy. Now, when you’re browsing through multiple similar items in the Amazon app or Amazon mobile site, you may see a “Help me decide” button that selects one for you based on your browsing activity, searches, purchase history, and preferences.
For example, Amazon says that if you’re shopping for a up-to-date camping tent, its AI tool will make a suggestion based on the tents you’ve viewed and your other purchase history. This means it may suggest a four-person all-season tent if you’ve previously looked at adult and child cold-weather sleeping bags or purchased children’s hiking boots.
The “Help Me Decide” button is rolled out to millions of users in the US. It will appear in the top right corner of the Amazon Shopping app or mobile browser when you’ve viewed several similar items. Tap it and Amazon will show you a recommendation along with a summary of why they chose the product. You can also check out the inexpensive “budget pick” the tool has selected, as well as the more costly “upgrade option.”
