Oreo maker Mondelez will apply artificial intelligence in TV ads next year

Snacks giant Mondelez is using generative AI to cut marketing costs and is preparing to release AI-generated TV ads next year, senior executive he said Reuters.

Jon Halvorson, Mondelez’s senior vice president of global consumer experiences, said the company spent more than $40 million on an AI-powered video tool that could halve production costs. TV ads created using this tool should be ready to air in time for the 2026 holiday season and potentially in time for the 2027 Super Bowl.

Mondelez already uses the tool to create social content for Chips Ahoy cookies and Milka chocolate, and in November will apply it to design online product pages for Oreo cookies.
