Then I bought my wife a Model S for Christmas. I started driving it and I kind of like it. I placed an order for the Cybertruck again and then started getting excited.
How do you feel about it now?
Oh, I love it. Now everything is different for me – and I don’t want to condemn anyone else, I still love many other vehicles – but for me everything different, the cushioned lines and everything, it all kind of ties together. And the Cybertruck clearly stands out. I mean, we often go out with a trailer, I can go camping and 50 kids show up: “Cybertruck, Cybertruck, Cybertruck.” I carry little toys in the trunk so I can give them away and give them to the kids and they love it. It’s great fun.
Is there anything you don’t like about it?
You can’t see the front through the windshield because it’s too long.
What is the Cybertruck community like?
When I had my Bentley and met other people driving Bentleys or Rolls-Royces, it was exclusive. They were a bit distant from other people with other vehicles. I’ve learned that Cybertruck owners say, “Hey, do you want to see it? Come on. Do you want to test drive it? Come on.” They are more inclusive.
What’s the biggest reaction you’ve heard from someone while driving?
A few months ago, I think it was in Idaho, my son and I stopped in a place where there were a lot of bears. It was almost full of bears, it was disgusting. This person literally drove through the grass, through the bears, cut off other cars and followed me. And I was like, dude, who the hell is that?
