Google is trying to make it easier to find time to meet with colleagues and customers. His launch of the new Gemini powered by artificial intelligence “Help me schedule” feature that suggests meeting time slots based on your Google Calendar and message context. You can directly insert suggestions into your email.
The recent “Help me schedule” option will automatically appear in the email you’re writing when Gemini detects you’re trying to schedule a meeting. Click and you’ll see available time slots that you can quickly view in an email. If your co-worker wants to meet for 30 minutes next week, Gemini will apply this context to find 30-minute appointments based on your availability during that time slot.
You can also edit the suggested times and add additional dates. When the recipient selects a time in the email, Google will automatically place the Calendar invitation on both of your calendars. This is just one of the AI features Google has recently rolled out to Gmail, as the app can already summarize emails and display an “Add to Calendar” button when it detects you’ve received a message about an upcoming event.
For now, “Help me schedule” only supports scheduling meetings between two people, not groups. It’s available now to Workspace customers, as well as Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers.
