The recent “Master Plan” sounds like Ai Slop

The latest “Master Plan” explains a few things from the gate: a company that was once known for accelerating pressure for a better future by popularizing electric vehicles and renewable energy, is no longer interested in this diary. Now it is about artificial intelligence, humanoid robots, own cars and recent buzzing slogans, which currently illuminated the technological world: “sustainable abundance”.

But is it actually generated AI? It does not matter, because the substance of the main plan is so unclear, so empty and so devoid of specific proposals that it barely casts a shadow.

For the construction of a flowering and unlimited society, which are inexpensive and technologically advanced products on a scale. It is used to further democratize society, while increasing the quality of life of everyone. A feature of the features of meritocracy is to create opportunities that allow each person to exploit their skills to achieve everything he imagines.

Compare this with the first main plan, published in 2006, which outlined the company’s willingness to build an electric sports car, and then take advantage of the revenues generated for construction of more affordable electric vehicles. Or Master Plan 2, published in 2016, which requires building electric semi-healings and buses, developing self-propelled vehicles, and then enabling customers to exploit these vehicles as a profit-generating robotaxia. Or Master Plan 3, published in 2023, which established Tesla for the conduct of global effort to eliminate fossil fuels and transform the world into sustainable energy.

These are substantial, sturdy things! Sure, Tesla barely affected the goals listed in the background, but at least these were goals in the classic sense. This latest iteration is pure down. Risks rising to the current of your own self -obstacle.

To be candid, a lot has happened between the third major plan and today. Elon Musk bought Twitter and transformed it into X. He founded XAI to compete in a global race for the development of AI generative tools. He launched Cybertruck, who then floped. He taught $ 300 million for the choice of Donald Trump, and then supervised the cut -off of billions of dollars from the federal government in the name of “performance”.

Tesla’s damage was stunning. The sale of the company will fall on all major markets around the world, thanks to the growing competition and Muska’s political affiliation. Tesla attempts to recover part of this aged magic, robots and robotaxia were largely unsuccessful. This recent plan is the latest effort to revive a vision.

If you are confused by what Tesla promises, you are not alone. X users commented that the plan “sounds more like a loved Ted conversation than the Gannt chart with dates and KPI.” Instead, we receive philosophical conversations about “infinite height, AI’s absence and robots that slow down your time.” The previous main plans were also visionary documents, but with more emphasis on products and elements of action, not amorphous clichés and a fashionable salad.

Certainly Elon Musk seems to regret some of the things that were included in previous plans. In the last post about X, he admitted that the second plan remains unfinished, but promises that he would be completed “next year”. Master Plan 3 was “too complex to understand almost everyone,” he said, advertising the fourth plan as “concise”.

He tells herself on “sustainable number”. Nowadays, we have heard a lot about abundance, mainly from the title book by Ezra Klein and Derek Thompson, which outlines the plan of more apartments, more pure energy and greater prosperity – achieved by deregulation and higher performance. There is also an abundance institute, a Think Tank focusing on innovation and prosperity, with great emphasis on AI policy.

But the idea of ​​”abundance” from then on reached the escape speed and now seems to be an umbrella date for libertarians and centric Democrats to relax against leftists and democratic socialists calling for universal health care and higher taxes for the affluent.

For me, the more expressive word in Master Plan 4 is “infinite”. The document declares that “growth is infinite”, suggesting that classic barriers such as labor, real estate, finances or natural resources should not stand on the road to Tesla’s trajectory.

This is one of Muska’s favorite rhetorical devices. He described the demand of customers in Tesla vehicles as “infinite”. The capacity of towing cyberspace is also “infinite”. (In fact, it is rated for 11,000 pounds, which I recently checked, it is far from infinite.)

What is really – borrowing another phrase from Tesla’s textbook – is absurd. The company’s self -propelled cars do not really lead alone, radiant roofs are on the rear burner, the mythical “model 2” worth $ 25,000 has been canceled, and your Tesla does not earn money while sleeping. His works cannot even give a bucket of popcorn without a stern human involvement.

Musk is high on its own supply, and the last main plan is proof of this.
