Gemini 1.0 is currently being rolled out across a number of products and platforms:
Gemini Pro in Google products
Thanks to Google services, we make Gemini available to billions of people.
Starting today, Bard will use an improved version of Gemini Pro for more advanced reasoning, planning, understanding and more. This is the biggest update to Bard since its release. It will be available in English in over 170 countries and territories, and we plan to expand it in a variety of ways and support recent languages and locations in the near future.
There were also bringing Gemini to Pixel. Pixel 8 Pro is the first smartphone designed with Gemini Nano in mind, with support for recent features like Summarize in the Recorder app and rolling out to Intelligent Reply on Gboard, starting with WhatsApp, Line and KakaoTalk – with more messaging apps coming in the future year.
In the coming months, Gemini will be available in more of our products and services, including Search, Advertising, Chrome and Duet AI.
We’re already starting to experiment with Gemini in search, where it works Search for a generative experience (SGE) faster for users, with a 40% reduction in latency in US English while improving quality.
Building with the Twins
Starting December 13, developers and enterprise customers will be able to access Gemini Pro via the Gemini w API Google Artificial Intelligence Studio Or Google Cloud Vertex AI.
Google AI Studio is a free online development tool that allows you to quickly prototype and launch applications using an API key. When it’s time for a fully managed AI platform, Vertex AI will enable Gemini customization with full data control and the benefit of additional Google Cloud features for enterprise security, protection, privacy, data management and compliance.
Android developers will also be able to build with Gemini Nano, our most productive model for on-device tasks, via AICore, a recent system feature available in Android 14 starting with Pixel 8 Pro devices. Register on early preview of AICore.
Gemini Ultra coming soon
For Gemini Ultra, we are currently completing extensive trust and security checks, including red-teaming by trusted third parties, as well as further refining the model through fine-tuning and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), before making it widely available .
As part of this process, we will make Gemini Ultra available to selected customers, developers, partners and security and liability experts to enable early experimentation and feedback before rolling out to developers and enterprise customers early next year.
