Jacek Dorsey’s block has created an AI agent to raise his own performance

Throughout the company Hackathon this month Finance programmers have built a stunning number of prototype tools, including database debugger, a program for identifying duplicate code and an application that automates bitcoin support.

A sudden raise in performance was powered by Goose, artificial intelligence developed by Block a few months ago, which can support in coding and other works, such as gathering data visualization or mockery from fresh product functions.

“We’ve always had Hack’s really strong weeks, but he was at a different level,” says Jackie Brosamer, who runs AI and a data platform in Block. “We have dozens of ideas that we want to introduce into production.”

GOOSE helped Block programmers in developing a fresh agent-agent communication server in Hackathon. The company claims that Goose has changed the way it operates, not only helping to automate code generation, but also enabling non-engineers to harass coding or prototype fresh applications or functions.

For the first time I talked about blocking a few months ago, when the goose was slightly less cooked than now. Developers in the company admitted that the agent has increased their performance, but at this time they sometimes make mistakes such as removing a strange file (this can sometimes happen). They ran a system on machines where all changes can be easily undo.

Agents begin to change the way many programmers and companies work when AI models become better to manage the code, using computers and tools to have. Over the past week, Google, Microsoft and OpenAI have all advertised agency coding tools. By default, Block uses the Claude Anthropik model, which is especially good in encoding and using tools.

CEO BLOCK JACK DORSEY and CTO Business, Dhanji PrasannaHe came to the conclusion that the agents would shake their industry in the autumn of 2024, when the improved AI models caused a significant jump as a result of many agents. Dorsey and Prasanna decided that Block should build its own agent, and engineers and other employees should immerse themselves in apply.

Block’s Goose is available As an open source (name, in case you didn’t guess, he was inspired by Maverick’s friend In the film Top Gun).

Goose can be powered by a number of different AI models and will run commands and access files and folders on your computer. Goose can also apply the growing number of internet tools, such as the cloud mass storage platforms or online databases, thanks to the contextual program of the model for communication of agents developed by Anthropic.

I used the latest GOOSE version to stood a few uncomplicated games and basic visualization. It does a good job, how to make sure that the right version of Python is available and installing packages. Other tools I have tried seem so capable, but the geese interface is particularly simple and intuitive and it seems that it will become stronger because it gains access to other tools and services.
